怀孕的妇女由于生理变化,血容量会随着生理需要的增加而有所增加,但红血球增加的速度则较慢,也就是说孕妇的血液被稀释了,所以怀孕后妇女不同程度贫血已成为一个普遍现象。轻度缺铁性贫血会使准妈妈感觉疲倦,比较严重的缺铁会导致缺铁性贫血,使准妈妈食欲不振、烦躁不安、精神萎靡、疲乏无力、心慌气短、头晕眼花、耳鸣、记忆力减退等等。

育龄女性,特别是在妊娠期和哺乳期贫血,既影响胎儿发育,造成流产、死胎、早产、体重不足及新生儿疾病,又可诱发妊高症,严重时影响孕产妇心脏功能,造成母子生命危险。准妈妈如果因缺铁导致贫血,有可能会使胎儿肝脏内储存的铁量不足,出生后会影响婴儿早期血红蛋白的合成,而导致贫血。

孕期需要补铁量

一般成人每日需摄取15毫克左右的铁质,但由于孕妇在整个孕程中,大约会有300毫克的铁质从母体运送到胎儿和胎盘,形成胎儿血红素并贮存以备出生后之用,所以对于怀孕的孕妈咪们来说,每日需较一般人增加30毫克的摄取量,也就是一天需吃下45毫克的铁质才足以应付自身与胎儿所需。
